Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings are designed to carry heavy radial loads. This is mainly because of the Austenite Strengthening process, which increases material life by 1.5 times. This treatment alters the surface chemistry of the rollers, resulting in compressive stresses that increase the bearing's life.
Some bearings have a separable inner ring, which makes it easier to mount and dismount. However, some applications require a full complement. While these are more expensive than single-row models, they provide increased radial load capacity and performance.
Cylindrical roller bearings are designed for high-performance systems. Their design allows for a greater contact area between the rollers and the raceway.
